SEARCH TIPS
  • Don’t be too specific.  Instead of B18C5, try B18, VTEC or Stroker.  B18 engines with 84mm and larger bores may use B20 components, so try a B20 search.  Avoid using multiple words.
  • Manufacturer’s part numbers can usually be searched.  Avoid using prefixes ahead of the part number.  Example, we use 'WI-' for Wiseco then add their part number.
  • For some V8 pistons, try a search by bore size as one piston may fit several rod/stroke combinations.
  • ENGINE KITS are not called out as each is custom assembled and the combinations are endless.  Instead, qualifying components will show a second lower kit price. The shopping cart total reflects the kit price.

CONNECTING RODS............

Race Engineering stocks rods in many styles.   We keep Crower forgings in 5.200" stock, 5.600" for our 2850cc package and 5.700" length in 2 journal sizes, Ford and Chevy.  

Our custom made PRO-ROD series by Manley is very light and comes in lengths from 5.700 to 5.930".  All Manley rods include side-beam machining to relieve stress risers.

XL billets are available in Crower Maxi-Lights, both stock and 5.7" lengths.  Carrillo Super-A beams are extremely light and include chamfered side beams for reduced windage.  They are available in 5.700" and 5.930", both with 2.000" and Honda journal big ends. 

We also stock a lightweight H-Beam rod in 5.700" in 2.000" and Honda journal sizes. These are sportsman priced and offer great value.  The 5.700" version is strong enough for our 2.7 strokers.
NEW:  Now in stock our ultralight 5.200" stock length rod at a reasonable price.  At least 100g lighter than the other guy's "ultralight".

Note that 5.700" rods can be used in 2300, 2500 and 2700cc motors.  5.840 and 5.930" rods are for stock stroke 2300's.  5.765" fits our 2600cc  kit, and 5.600" is the the 2850 stroker (that's .400" longer than the competition).
