All Race Engineering blocks are torque plate machined with caps installed eliminating the need for gap-less rings to correct leak down. Blocks are small main style (a lighter small main crank and reduced bearing speed = free horsepower and acceleration) and are modified to accept the fuel pump arm. Bottom end is stroker clearanced for later use as such. Special auxilliary bearings are installed that feed additional oil to the distributor gear and aux. shaft retaining plate for added life. Of course new plugs are installed. We offer a strapped main cap version that includes ARP main studs and is recommended for higher RPM stock stroke engines and is a must for strokers.
